These Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms") regulate the legal relationship between XYZ, s.r.o., with its registered office at [to be completed], ID number: [to be completed], registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court [to be completed], Section: [to be completed], Insert: [to be completed] (hereinafter referred to as the "Provider"), and individuals or legal entities (hereinafter referred to as the "User") who use the application or website for managing passwords and sensitive data (hereinafter referred to as the "Service").
By registering for or using the Service in any way, the User expresses their agreement with these Terms. If the User does not agree with the Terms, they must not use the Service. The Provider reserves the right to update these Terms, with the User being informed of changes via email or in-app notification. By continuing to use the Service after changes to the Terms, the User confirms their acceptance of the updates.
These Terms define the rights and obligations of both parties, the methods of data protection, security rules, and the exclusion of the Provider's liability concerning the data stored by the User in the Service.
The Service enables the User to securely store, manage, and organize passwords, login credentials, and other sensitive information. The Provider offers an environment secured by end-to-end encryption, ensuring that only the User has access to the content of their data. Encryption takes place directly on the User’s device, with the decryption key derived from the master password known only to the User.
The User acknowledges that the Provider cannot recover the master password or access data in the event of its loss. The Service is designed so that neither the Provider nor third parties can access the content of the data, ensuring maximum privacy.
In addition to basic features, the Service may include additional tools such as strong password generators, data synchronization across multiple devices, two-factor authentication (2FA), or the ability to share selected passwords with trusted individuals. Advanced features may be available as part of a paid service package.
The User is responsible for ensuring that the data stored in the Service complies with the applicable laws of the Slovak Republic and does not infringe the rights of third parties. The Provider is not liable for any data stored by the User in the Service, including its accuracy, legality, or moral acceptability.
The Provider processes the User's personal data solely for registration and securing access to the Service. This data may include the User’s name, email address, IP address, and application usage data necessary for improving the provided services. The processing of personal data complies with Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection and GDPR Regulation (2016/679).
Sensitive data stored in the Service (such as passwords and notes) is encrypted and not considered personal data processed by the Provider, as the Provider has no access to it. The User must be aware that data security also depends on their behavior and is therefore required to protect their master password, use secure devices, and regularly update their software.
In case of suspected misuse of login credentials or account compromise, the User must immediately contact the Provider. If it is found that the User has intentionally violated security rules, the Provider reserves the right to suspend or terminate their access to the Service.
The User has the right to:
use the Service for purposes in compliance with these Terms, request technical support or an explanation of the Service's functionality, terminate the use of the Service at any time without providing a reason. The User is obliged to:
secure their master password and login credentials against unauthorized access, refrain from storing illegal, fraudulent, or otherwise inappropriate data in the Service, respect copyright, intellectual property rights, and legal restrictions. The User must not use the Service for purposes that could damage the Provider's reputation or compromise its technical and security integrity. Breach of these obligations may result in the termination of the User's account without entitlement to a refund of any subscription fees.
The Provider is not responsible for the content of the data stored by the User in the Service. This includes the legality, accuracy, completeness, and moral acceptability of such data. The User is fully responsible for all data stored in the Service and any consequences of its improper use or misuse.
The Provider is not liable for:
loss of access to data caused by forgetting the master password or insufficient security measures on the part of the User, damages resulting from unauthorized access to the User's account, temporary unavailability of the Service caused by technical issues or force majeure. The Service is provided "as is," without any guarantees of uninterrupted availability, functionality, or suitability for a specific purpose. The Provider reserves the right to temporarily limit or interrupt the provision of the Service for maintenance, updates, or security enhancements.
These Terms come into effect on the date of their publication on the Service's website or application. The Provider reserves the right to unilaterally modify these Terms, and the User will be informed of changes in a timely manner. If the User does not agree with the updated Terms, they have the right to discontinue using the Service.
The relationship between the User and the Provider is governed by the legal order of the Slovak Republic. If any provision of these Terms becomes invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid and binding. Disputes arising in connection with these Terms will primarily be resolved amicably. If no agreement is reached, the dispute will be resolved by the court competent according to the Provider’s registered office.
The User must address all questions regarding the Terms or the Service to the Provider using the contact details provided on the website or in the application. These Terms constitute an integral part of the contractual relationship between the User and the Provider and are binding on both parties.
